The worlds first all-lego ad break

Our brief

We were asked to create a campaign reel to bring to life PHDs campaign to support the launch of The Lego Movie for entry into the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

What we did

For the launch of The Lego Movie, PHD did something special and to tell their unique story, we wanted to capture the sense of excitement that exists around a movie launch of this stature. We took a combination of multi-format assets provided to form the story and created motion graphics around this, with Lego at the heart of it. As their campaign centres around creating the first all-lego ad break, we chose to tell their story in a Lego themed world. We also got the legendary movie trailer voice, Redd Pepper on board to re-create the movie trailer feel for the start of the video to really add impact.

And the results...

Our approach worked and helped PHD win two Gold Lions at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
