With CSV I made a difference
Fundraising Film
Pete Waterman, a Patron of CSV, takes us on a journey through the many benefits of volunteering, including the genuine difference it can make in people's lives. We talk to CSV Springboard and learn how they are helping young people who have been failed by the mainstream education system, people who, without this support, may have turned to crime. We also visit a local tea dance and look at the ways in which volunteers are combating social isolation amongst the older citizens, whilst sitting down to a nice cup of tea and a biscuit!

The Client
The Brief
The Concept
The Strategy
CSV is the UK's leading volunteering and training charity.
CSV needed to create a fundraising film aimed at current and potential CSV Patrons and corporate sponsors. It was to be screened at a prestigious event held at the Russian Embassy and also to be used as part of a mail-out.
To produce a video showcasing the breadth and scope of the work done by CSV. Its primary aim was to demonstrate how CSV can empower and enable everyone to take action and in turn, do something positive for the community.
Unlike many charities CSV doesn't follow a single cause or issue so it was important to show the range of work undertaken by CSV volunteers, whilst also highlighting the impact of their work on local communities.

We chose to work with a cross-section of volunteers, to encapsulate their passions and emotions whilst showing the scale and diversity of the work being done.
As such our interviewees were aged between 6 and 95, this included individuals with learning difficulties and drug and alcohol problems. Through their individual stories we were able to demonstrate how CSV is dramatically affecting people's lives.
To validate the work being carried out we also captured the thoughts and emotions of the beneficiaries, enabling the viewer to see first hand the effect that CSV is having on both individuals and communities.
