Project Case Study
Agents4Change
Project Case Study
This is a film about young people relating to people from their own generation and the combined effort that they can make to make a difference in their local community. Amongst others we meet Kevin, a Big Issue vendor whose only respite from being homeless is one day a week helping out in a local allotment, set up by volunteers, we hear first hand how Agents4Change has transformed his life for the better. We meet the volunteers themselves and hear how Agents4Change has given these young people a sense of responsibility and respect in the community and helped build their confidence.

The Strategy
Agents4Change is a national youth led volunteering project, set up by CSV, the UK’s leading volunteering and training charity.
To create a celebratory film aimed at potential new sponsors to highlight the various ways in which young people can get involved in their local communities.
To produce a promotional film to demonstrate the positive contribution young people can make to society and to encourage other young people to consider volunteering. The film served to highlight the impact that Agents4Change has had on local communities across the country and to challenge negative portrayals of young people in the media.
To capture the essence of Agents4Change in a positive, emotional and empowering fashion, whilst portraying young people as community leaders.
We visited a number of ongoing projects around the country and worked with young people to develop narratives and to challenge stereotypical views that might surround them. Through interviews with the young people, coupled with interviews from people within their local communities, we were able to produce a powerful film to highlight the difference the young people were making, whilst also showing how they were able to shape their own futures in the process.
